I was a Linux Mint with Cinnamon and then KDE Plasma user until this edition was dropped and I had to move to Kubuntu. I've heard the reasons when it was dropped, but I think if distros with fewer developers and funding can have a KDE Plasma edition, Linux Mint could have it too.

Thanks in advance for the help! I think it's possible but you will need to find a PPA. Linux Mint uses Ubuntu repositories from behind and Ubuntu as far I know never do major shell updates inside one release. So, probably will be officially available in the next release.

Mint would be ideal but I was under the impression KDE was a bit of a fight to get working. not at all, type sudo apt install kde-standard -y into the terminal, enter your password, then restart when it's done, you should get a new icon at the top right of the user login small box, click it then click kde plasma.
