Technically every class can get a build or two that can benefit greatly from celestial gear, so just pick whatever you find cool. However, most people will say Guardian, but I think that's not the best option. I'd like to share some Revenant propaganda. With celestial gear you're getting gateway to almost every possible spec in the game as a Revenant.
Technically, yoou get some level rewards. If you have L40 scrolls, it is even booster! if you have a level 40 boost it's even better, since you can grab the lvl 40 BL-Key too. :D. im racist, human master race. :D. Use them for new characters and max them the rest to 80 with Tomes of Knowledge. Else there is the weekly story key farm.
If leveling were difficult, then I would say just boost. Also, Guild Wars 2 encourages you to make alts and many of them. Most high end gear is account bound, so you're not redoing anything by making new characters. I would use your first character to play through the game and learn the ropes. Ultimately, go with what is the most fun for you.
I really like narrative and stories in my games, but it is taking me a long time to level my character to max. I started a month ago and am now at level 55, but I’m tempted to use the boost to speed things up. I just wanted to know if I will be able to replay personal stories or such cause I real
Members. 24.6k. Posted December 5, 2021. I'm pretty sure the Devs wouldn't spoil some big surprise like that if there was. So, go ahead if you want to use your L80 Boost. Or spend the time until End of Dragon releases by leveling up your character normally. Your choice. 2. 1.
I picked up HoT and figured I'd get back into the game recently, and I got a token for a level 80 boost. I wanted to know if I should use the boost now, or if it's important for whatever reason that I go through the 1-80 experience. Yes to both. :) This is not well-explained in the game itself, but using the token does not consume it. Get equipped with armor, weapons, skills, and specializations that will increase your effectiveness and help you navigate max-level perils. 3 options. Doesn't matter. Getting the mounts isn't any easier or harder with the right build. Necromancer, as the lvl 80 boost gear is a decent condition damage set, as opposed to getting soldiers gear on the other classes which is lackluster outside of wvw. Mesmer, as leveling a mesmer sucks. ChmSteki. Likewise with food (game calls it "nourishment"). Some of the really low level things only give +5%, but most give +10%. Again, while just levelling you can use whatever the cheapest ones are from the TP. The food you can get changes every five levels or so, so I'd just suggest getting a small number at a time.

For example lets say I'm playing as an engineer and I use me hero points on two base game skill lines and specialisations and the rest in to the scrapper elite specialisations all the way to 80, will using the boost unlock the base game skill lines and specialisations that I did not rank up or will the boost just give me the level 80 gear

Boost 1 character (or old necromancer) to 80 and get to PoF/HoT zones for mount and glider respectively. After that this will become your secondary character.2.) On an old toon (your necromancer) get your birthday presents from the mail and get your XP boosts and level boosts. Use a level 20 Boost on this new toon, cause opening up skill slots
She made a new character after buying end of dragons, and went to use the level 80 boost during her new character tutorial. It said congratulations, and then nothing happened. After completion of the tutorial, she was still only level 2 and her level 80 boost is gone, despite having never used it.
Is there any other reason that we shouldn't create a new character and use the Level 80 boost prior to the release of EoD? I'm not asking for specific spoilers, just if we should hold off using it or if it's ok to go ahead an create the new character.
Thanks. I do know how the system works with the different masteries, but in this case I was focused on the Central Tyria area. By the time I get to Heart of Thorns, I'll be level 80 either way, so the question is whether I want the xp I gain in the core game on a new character to go to leveling or use the tomes instead and direct it to those Central Tyria masteries right off the bat.
